Ken Kurtzig Ken Kurtzig
Founder & CEO


After working in the corporate and non-profit sectors for over a decade with PeopleSoft, eBenefits, and then CompassPoint Nonprofit Services, Ken pulled together the best aspects of each along with his passion for the environment to start iReuse in 2004. Ken is committed to providing innovative, environmentally-friendly solutions that outperform the status quo. As a result of his efforts, iReuse received the 2006 Green Entrepreneur of the year award presented by Assemblyman Joe Nation, the 2007 Environmental Enterprise Award presented by Acterra, the 2007 Business of the Year Award presented by the Marin Conservation League, and the 2007 Environmental Leadership Award presented by the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce, in addition to being selected as a 2007 Going Green 100 Top Private Company.


Ken regularly speaks on the topics of Corporate Sustainability, Building a Green Company, Waste Reduction, and Saving Green by Being Green. Ken is a member of the Marin County Sustainability Task Force, the Sausalito Sustainability Commission, the Board of Directors for MarinLink, and the Marin County Zero Waste Commission, and is involved in local community green initiatives.


Jim ChristiansonJim Christianson
Operations Manager


Prior to joining iReuse, Jim spent over fifteen years working for Sun Microsystems, primarily with Sun Japan and Sun Microsystems Asia-Pacific.  He has an extensive background in international sales, marketing and business management, and has traveled, for business and pleasure, throughout North America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and Europe.  Jim is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and is a former Associate in Research at the Harvard University School of Business.  At iReuse, Jim manages business operations, marketing and various activities which support the company’s tremendous growth.


Scott FinnellScott Finnell
Sustainability Consultant


Scott brings sustainability program design and implementation experience with a number of Fortune 100 companies. Most recently, Scott was Director of Programs at Act Now, where he designed and directed the Effie award-winning Personal Sustainability Project. His work with Wal-Mart was covered in the New York Times, the International Herald-Tribune, and Fast Company magazine. With passions for project management, change management, and employee development, Scott brings a unique perspective to business transformation. A writer, Scott completed his first novel in 2005 and wrote for a number of online and print outlets from 2001-2007.


Tauni Swenson
Sustainability Consultant


Tauni has an uncommon passion for reducing waste. This latent passion emerged from her years working in the outdoors following Leave No Trace principles as an instructor and program director for Outward Bound. Ms. Swenson later spent two years living abroad interviewing the leading multinational executives around the world for special economic reports in the Japan Times Newspaper. A strong desire to leave each place a little better than she found it led her to the Presidio School of Management where she received her M.B.A. in Sustainable Management. During graduate school she worked at two major retailers on a wide range of sustainability initiatives, specializing in waste reduction. Ms.Swenson's role at iReuse is to guide businesses towards zero waste.


Ken Wells
Sustainability Consultant


Ken supports iReuse with over 30 years of environmental management and waste reduction experience. Prior to his work with iReuse, Ken was director of Sonoma County’s nationally recognized integrated waste management system with a $50M annual operating budget. Waste management programs included disposal sites, a landfill gas power plant, composting, household hazardous waste collection, recycling facilities and public education. Preceding his work in Sonoma County, he worked as a recycling manager for consulting and international waste firms. Ken lectures on solid waste issues as a part of the Dominican University of California's Green MBA and the Green Building Professional Certificate curriculum.


Ken is active in the local community, serving as the President of the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, on the Board of Directors for Sonoma County Conservation Action, Californians Against Waste and the Sonoma County Trails Council and as the Sierra Club representative on the AB939 Local Task Force.


Kim SauveKim Sauve
Sustainability Consultant


Kim joined iReuse as a sustainability consultant after years of non-profit work in the environmental arena. She acted as Zero Waste chair for Sustainable San Rafael and is currently Vice President and Training Director of the Environmental Forum of Marin. Prior to moving to Marin, Kim owned and operated a small green business in the East Bay. She also manages Accounts Receivable for iReuse.


Arjun VermaArjun Verma
Program Coordinator


Arjun has worked with iReuse since 2006, and has contributed to its success in a number of ways. He oversees the development of the iReuse website and proprietary online software tools. In addition, he manages several partnerships and is involved in strategy, planning, and marketing. Arjun enjoys being able to use his analytical skills and passion for the environment to help keep iReuse on the cutting edge in the fast-paced field of sustainability.


Carter ColemanCarter Coleman
Sales Manager


Carter has a very successful background in high technology sales and sales management with Xerox, ADP, Apple Computer and Autodesk. He has sold both hardware and software throughout the Western United States to major industries. Most recently he has managed his own sales consulting business working with several software companies to launch their products. At iReuse, Carter has full responsibility for the sales and management of the CleanSweep service and is also involved in the sales process for Sustainability Consulting.


Carter is very involved with the local community, having served on the first Waste Reduction Commission for San Anselmo, the Park and Recreation Commission, and the Drake High School Scholarship Foundation. Carter is a graduate of Williams College and has taken graduate courses in Sales and Marketing at the University of California.


Felicia ChavezFelicia Chavez
Sustainability Consultant and Office Administrator


Felicia is a Northern California native and graduate of the Green MBA program at Dominican University. She brings experience from a variety of Bay Area non-profit and for-profit organizations to iReuse, including experience in California environmental politics, working as the Associate Director of Search for the Cause in Marin County, and experience in the real estate and organizational development sectors. The green business field enables Felicia to engage many of her passions: creativity, innovation, efficiency, optimized communication, and evolution of consciousness. Her passion for efficiency inspires her to seek better systems to effectively support operations and communications within the organization, and her commitment to “The Power of Now” and other personal development practices smoothes rough edges and helps her hold perspective in the face of the great challenges we in the green sector wrestle with as a way
of life.


Anthony Antonaros
Graphic Designer


Anthony has been working with iReuse since 2006. He brings a sharp eye for design and a talent for art to the iReuse website and marketing materials. He is adept at using visual technologies to effectively communicate the iReuse vision to partners, potential customers, and the public at large.


Mike Megremis
Waste Reduction Consultant


Mike Megremis graduated with a Master of Science in Environmental Studies from Cal State Fullerton in 1998. His thesis entitled "the Environmental and Ecological Impacts of a Solid Waste Reduction Program" is published by the California Integrated Waste Management Board and can be viewed at the following link:

Mike is in his 10th year as an Environmental Consultant specializing in Waste Reduction and Recycling for corporate clientele. As a result of the materials reduced, reused and recycled through his consulting, clientele have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in waste disposal costs, and have received Green Business and Waste Reduction Awards from California state and local agencies.
