Generally, we do not require you to provide any personal information in order to visit the Site or browse many sections of the Site. There are however certain sections of the iReuse Site and certain functionality which are restricted to registered Users and you are required to provide personal information in order to access these restricted pages.

In order to become a registered User and access these restricted pages and functionality, you will need to complete the User registration form. Some fields on the User registration Form are required and others are not. Required fields on the Reuse registration form include first name, last name, E-Mail address, street address 1, street address 2, city, state, zip code, type of User, and telephone number. You will also be asked to create a unique password which you should keep secret to ensure that you will be the only person able to sign in to your User account on the iReuse Site. In order to become a registered User you must also agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in the User Agreement as well as this Privacy Policy.

If you choose to use any iReuse service such as iReuse Now or iReuse Connect, or you choose to sell an item on iReuse, additional personal information may be required including credit card number, credit card type, credit card expiration date, billing address, and the name on the card. This information will only be used and your credit card charged if you choose to use an iReuse service such as the iReuse Now or iReuse Connect service.

If you choose to coordinate hauling services with the online scheduling system on iReuse, certain personal information and pick-up details will be required in order to coordinate hauling with a third party hauling service provider in your area.

We collect certain information about your activity on the iReuse system to better understand User activity and how to improve the iReuse system to better serve your needs. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users' movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. In some of our E-Mail messages we use a "click-through URL" linked to content on the iReuse website. When a customer clicks one of these URLs, they pass through our web server before arriving at the destination web page. We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked, simply avoid clicking text or graphic links in the E-Mail.

How we use your information

The information we collect is used to improve the quality of the iReuse Site and Service, to communicate information about the iReuse Service to you, to help facilitate the payment and/or exchange of items posted in the Site, to charge your credit card the iReuse service fee for all fee based services such as iReuse Now and iReuse Connect, for research, and to contact you about your account when necessary. Your information will not be sold to or shared with other companies or organizations for marketing or advertising purposes without your consent. Once a User agrees to take an item posted on iReuse, the Poster and Takers E-Mail addresses may be shared with one another in order to coordinate the payment and/or exchange of the item posted by the Poster and committed to being taken by the Taker.

Hauling Service referrals - iReuse does not provide hauling services but instead will help facilitate your hauling request by connecting you with other third party hauling service providers in your area. By confirming your scheduling request through the online scheduling system on iReuse, iReuse may send the information provided by you in the online scheduling form to a third party hauling service provider to contact you and support your hauling needs. If you choose to use the online scheduling system on the site, choose to use these third party hauling service providers, disclose information to the third party hauling service providers, and/or grant them permission to collect information about you, then their use of your information is governed by their privacy policy. We do not disclose your personal information to third party hauling service providers unless you provide your consent by clicking "Confirm". Because we do not control the privacy practices of these third parties, you should evaluate their practices before deciding to use their services.

Tell a friend - iReuse offers a service called "Tell a friend" that allows you to notify friends about the iReuse service as well as specific items posted on the iReuse Site. When completing the Tell a Friend form we will ask you for your E-Mail address and your friend's E-Mail address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time E-Mail notifying him or her of your interest in sharing the iReuse Site or a specific item posted on iReuse with them. We do not save or share your friends E-Mail address and it will only be used this one time at your request. Please note, however, that iReuse opposes the practice of sending unsolicited commercial E-Mails, also known as "spam". Therefore, we request that you send "Tell a Friend" E-Mails only to people known by you who may be interested in the iReuse service or a particular item posted in iReuse. If someone asks you not to send these E-Mails to him or her, please comply.

At times we may be required by law or litigation to disclose your personal information. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that for national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary.

Security and Storage

iReuse takes precautions - including administrative, technical, and physical measures - to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. While there is no such thing as "perfect security" on the internet, we will take all reasonable steps to insure the safety of your information.

You can help us by also taking precautions to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet. Change your passwords often using a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure you use a secure web browser.

Children using the iReuse system

Children (persons under the age of 18) are not eligible to use the Site unsupervised and we ask that children do not submit any personal information to us. If you are under the age of 18, you may only use this Site in conjunction with and under the supervision of your parents or guardians.

Corrections and Updates

iReuse allows Users to update or modify their personal information by clicking on the My Account link in the iReuse navigation menu once you are logged in.
